Just 25 minutes from Barcelona and 35 minutes from the El Prat airport, the Campus La Mola is set in the heart of the Sant Llorenç del Munt nature reserve. The site has 185 bedrooms and 22 fully equipped meeting rooms all bathed in daylight with a calming view over the surrounding park. For your celebrations and exclusive events, the Mas Bonvilar, a traditional 17th Century manor house, has been turned into a 450 sq.m. reception hall that can accommodate up to 700 guests.

ACCOMODATION

Accommodation is available in single bedrooms. All rooms are modern, 11sq. m, with a double bed, ensuite bathrooms with separate toilets, wifi and air conditioning. Most of the bedrooms are located in the building where the dining room is.

Note: Breakfast and dinner is not included for those staying off-site.

Facilities included in the room price: fitness area, mountain biking, football, basketball, handball, badminton, table tennis, outdoor pool, outdoor swimming pool, indoor spa, sauna, karaoke, table football, billiards, table tennis, board games, indoor pool.

PAYMENT

The accommodation must be paid by 18 October. You will be asked to pay directly to the venue by credit card. The venue will email you the payment link with all instructions.

CANCELLATION POLICY VALID FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS (including invitees)

Attendance can be cancelled up to one month prior to the event (by 8 October), by contacting us at biohackathon-europe@elixir-europe.org. Please note, if you cancel after this date or do not show up at the event you will be responsible for full payment, even if you are on the invite list.

Cancellation due to COVID-19: if your country or region is closed as a result of COVID restrictions, we will not be able to refund your expenses.

COVID-19 MEASURES

Travelling

For those who are travelling from abroad, we recommend filling in the healthy travel form in advance (not earlier than 48 hours prior arrival): https://www.spth.gob.es/. After that, a QR code will be provided, which needs to be shown to the Spanish authorities at the airport upon arrival.

At the venue

Upon arrival at the venue, you will be asked to provide at least one of the following:

• a proof of vaccination attesting to a complete vaccination cycle;
• a negative PCR or antigen test less than 48 hours old;
• a proof of recovery (a positive PCR or antigen test more than 15 days and less than 6 months old).

Facial masks will be mandatory during the whole meeting inside. You can bring your own or you can use the masks provided by the venue. Remember to cover both your nose and mouth.

Management of suspected cases of coronavirus in a participant: in the presence of a symptomatic participant (including fever and/or cough, difficulty breathing, speaking or swallowing, loss of taste and smell), these will be the steps:
